ABOUT THE SERVICES WE OFFER

A small firm that specializes in historic restoration from planning and research, concept design, construction administration, public advocacy, material conservation and non-invasive technology. HBA strives to design 100-year repairs, yielding environmental and economic benefits.

HBA has earned a national reputation by completing a wide range of significant preservation projects on time, within budget, and to superior quality. We have prepared in-depth historical research, and numerous successful nominations for local or national designation. Our thorough assessments of existing conditions are completed using the latest technology. This includes visual assessment of structures with our in-house Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS), allowing for extensive and economical photo-documentation.

As well, with our own materials lab (the only one in an architectural practice in New Jersey), HBA performs essential testing and analysis. The results of this documentation and analysis, along with traditional architectural drawing, are then incorporated into our visually engaging mixed-media reports. HBA also works to develop long-range preservation plans through careful study and vision planning. All of the above work forms the basis for our careful design of preservation, restoration, rehabilitation, and adaptive use solutions, and the implementation of these designs to the highest standards. HBA strives to design 100-year repairs, yielding environmental and economic benefits.
